Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 21, 2026

Applies to: Blinkzy Android · Blinkzy macOS · Blinkzy Windows

Summary: Blinkzy has no ads, no analytics, and no tracking. The only things it ever sends to our server are an anonymous device identifier (to run your free trial) and your license key (when you activate a purchase). Everything else stays on your device.

1. Information We Collect

Blinkzy does not collect any personal information. No account is required on any platform, and we never ask for your name, email, or any other personal details.

Android: All app settings (blink style, colors, interval, preferences) are stored locally using Android SharedPreferences. Your trial start date and license status are stored locally in encrypted form.

macOS & Windows: All app settings are stored locally in a settings file on your computer (~/Library/Application Support/Blinkzy/ on macOS, %APPDATA%\Blinkzy\ on Windows). A tamper-resistant backup of your trial start date is also stored in your system's Java Preferences.

2. What Is Sent to Our Server

To make the 3-day free trial and license activation work, the app sends the following to our license server, and nothing else:

That is the complete list. The device identifier cannot be used to identify you personally, and we do not combine it with any other data. The app treats network failure as non-fatal and works offline; the trial and an activated license continue to function without a connection.

3. Advertising & Analytics

Blinkzy contains no advertising and no analytics on any platform. There are no ad SDKs, tracking SDKs, or social SDKs in the app, and no usage data is collected.

4. Payments

Blinkzy is sold as a one-time purchase on our website — the same license unlocks macOS, Windows, and Android. Payments are processed by Paddle, our merchant of record. Payment details (card number, billing address, email) are handled entirely by Paddle and never reach the app or our license server. After purchase you receive a license key by email, which you enter in the app to activate it.

5. App Capabilities & Permissions

Android requests the following permissions:

macOS & Windows use the following OS capabilities:

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or share any user data with third parties.

No other third-party services are integrated in any version of Blinkzy.

7. Data Retention & Deletion

All preferences live on your device; uninstalling Blinkzy removes them. On macOS and Windows, uninstalling also removes the auto-start entry and settings file, and the Java Preferences backup is removed automatically when the app is fully uninstalled.

Our license server stores only your anonymous device identifier, your trial start date, and (if you purchased) your license key. To have this removed, email us and we will delete it.

8. Children's Privacy

Blinkzy does not collect personal information from anyone, including children, and shows no advertising. We do not knowingly collect any information from children under 13.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
